Xiaomi announced on Monday a new entry-level model, the Redmi 6 Pro. A smartphone with a slab 19: 9 with notch, and a battery that looks interesting.
Always active in the ruthless world of entry-level smartphones, Xiaomi presented this June 25, 2018 Redmi 6 Pro at an event in China. This new model of the Chinese firm has the distinction of being the first terminal of the company to have a notch.
A double photo module with AI bonus
Under this famous notch, the Redmi 6 Pro has a slab of 5.84 inches at a 19: 9 ratio of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. The beast will run through a Snapdragon 625 chip, with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory (depending on the version). A 4000 mAh battery is responsible for keeping him awake. If the battery optimization is as efficient as the Redmi Note 5, it could join the best in its category. Note that the smartphone is able to accommodate a 256GB microSD card to inflate the set.
At the rear, a dual photo module is present, including a 12 megapixel sensor and a 5 megapixel sensor, both of which are coupled to a lens that opens at f / 2.2. At the front, it’s a simple module that will act as a selfie device, with a sensor of 5 Mpx. Both cameras will include home software such as the Face Unlock and a series of modes: portrait, night, etc. Finally, like all other Xiaomi smartphones, this new model is equipped with the overlay of homemade Android, the MIUI 9.
An announcement hoped for in Europe?
Three versions of the Redmi 6 Pro are announced for China. The first combining 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory will cost 999 yuan (131 €). The second with the 3GB / 64GB combo will be sold 1,199 yuan (157 €) while the last, the most powerful version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory will be around 1,299 yuan (170 €). For the moment, this Redmi 6 Pro and its variations have not yet been announced in France but, given the expansion ambition of the Chinese firm, hope is allowed.
