Sony showed its intention to push the development of online music and audio file download high quality. The organization of this event was not the most successful and journalists out again as a gift with a helmet that was, basically on its packaging, the words: “for MP3” – funny way of communicating the HD audio. However, the guest panel holding the forum was very interesting, as with representatives of the French Qobuz, the US site HD Tracks and music labels for whom quality online audio gradually becomes a priority.

This intention on the part of Sony, pushing music online in HD, was confirmed at CES in Las Vegas, as the Japanese giant has unveiled a new Walkman, the NWZ-ZX1. This device is a presentation and a very luxurious construction: its shell is machined from a solid metal plate and contains sorted components on the component, as well as digital amplifiers exclusive to Sony S-Master.

The Walkman NWZ-ZX1 has a large storage capacity (128 GB) and is compatible with most popular file formats currently among audiophiles with a resolution up to 24 bit / 192 kHz PCM uncompressed, FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless (ALAC), AIFF … It runs on Android 4.2 and can also display JPEG or MPEG 4 video, AVCHD and WMV9.

The device weighs 139 grams, Announces 32 hours of talk time playing music with dimensions of 122.3 x 59.7 x 13.5 mm. It will be available in late February to the target price of € 700, but it is already possible to pre-order it on some online stores.
